About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Non-EB Placement Specialist to manage placement activities across Property, Marine, and Engineering insurance lines. The role requires strong market relationships, technical underwriting knowledge, placement expertise, and the ability to negotiate effectively with insurers to deliver optimal solutions for clients.

Key Responsibilities

Placement & Market Management

• Manage end-to-end placement of Non-Employee Benefits (Non-EB) insurance programs.
• Handle Property, Marine, Engineering, and related commercial insurance placements.
• Engage with insurers to obtain competitive quotations and negotiate terms, conditions, and pricing.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with insurance companies and underwriting teams.
• Ensure timely execution of policy placements, renewals, and endorsements.

Technical & Advisory Support

• Analyze client risk profiles and recommend appropriate insurance solutions.
• Review policy wordings, coverage structures, exclusions, and risk assessment reports.
• Provide technical support to client servicing and business development teams.
• Assist in designing risk transfer strategies tailored to client requirements.

Market Intelligence & Analytics

• Monitor market capacity, underwriting appetite, pricing trends, and insurer developments.
• Prepare placement strategies and comparison analyses for clients.
• Utilize analytical skills and Excel-based tools for premium analysis and reporting.
• Generate MIS reports and placement dashboards for management review.

Stakeholder Management

• Coordinate with clients, insurers, underwriters, surveyors, and internal teams.
• Support business retention and growth through effective placement solutions.
• Ensure high service standards and timely resolution of placement-related issues.

Compliance & Documentation

• Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and internal compliance guidelines.
• Maintain accurate documentation of quotations, negotiations, placements, and policy records.
• Support internal audits and compliance reviews when required.

Desired Candidate Profile

Experience

• Minimum 6 years of experience in Property, Marine, and/or Engineering insurance placement.
• Experience in the insurance broking industry is highly preferred.
• Strong understanding of commercial insurance products and placement practices.

Skills & Competencies

• Excellent negotiation and relationship management skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Sound knowledge of risk assessment and insurance program structuring.
• Effective communication and presentation skills.

Qualifications

• Graduate in any discipline.
• Professional insurance certifications such as LIII/AIII will be preferred.
• Additional insurance or risk management qualifications will be an advantage.
