JOB DESCRIPTION: COMMUNITY MANAGER -UPES

About the Role

UPES is looking for a passionate and execution-driven Community Manager to lead the University’s flagship student leadership and advocacy program. This role will be responsible for building, nurturing, and scaling a high-performing community of 200+ student ambassadors.

The ideal candidate is equal parts community builder, project manager, and content strategist, with the ability to inspire students while driving measurable business outcomes.

Key Responsibilities :

Community Management

• Build, onboard, and manage a community of 200-300 student ambassadors across all 7 schools.
• Foster high engagement through regular communication, mentorship, recognition programs, and community initiatives.
• Plan and execute training sessions on brand advocacy, storytelling, content creation, and digital engagement.
• Build a culture of ownership, collaboration, and healthy competition within the ambassador community.

Program Execution

• Drive flawless execution of the program calendar, campaigns, events, challenges, and activations.
• Coordinate with Admissions, Student Affairs, and Schools to ensure timely delivery of initiatives.
• Ensure ambassadors actively represent UPES across campus events, social platforms, student communities, and admission cycles.

Content & Brand Advocacy

• Develop content briefs, campaign ideas, and storytelling frameworks for ambassadors.
• Guide students in creating high-quality, platform content including Reels, Instagram Stories, campus diaries, testimonials, and event coverage.
• Encourage authentic conversations across platforms such as Instagram, LinkedIn, Reddit, and student forums to strengthen the UPES brand.

Performance & Analytics

• Define success metrics and KPIs for the community, including:
• Active ambassador participation
• Content output and quality
• Engagement rates
• Campaign participation
• Referral and lead generation
• Brand advocacy and sentiment
• Build dashboards to track performance and provide actionable insights.
• Continuously optimise the program based on data and feedback.

Preferred Experience

• At least 7+ years of experience in Community Management, Brand Marketing, Student Engagement, Creator Management, or Social Media.
• Experience managing ambassador, creator, influencer, or campus engagement programs is highly preferred.
• Prior experience in higher education, startups, consumer brands, or creator ecosystems is an advantage.
