Position: International Business Development Manager – Export Markets (Russia & CIS)

Territory: Russia & CIS Countries (Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Azerbaijan, Armenia, Georgia, Belarus, Moldova and other CIS markets)

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced International Business Development Manager to lead export business development across Russia and CIS countries. The candidate will be responsible for developing new business, managing distributors, driving product registrations, identifying suitable products for each market, and achieving sustainable sales growth.

The ideal candidate should possess strong knowledge of the Agrochemical export business, regulatory requirements, pricing strategies, and commercial practices specific to Russia and CIS markets.

Key Responsibilities

1. Business Development

• Develop and execute business expansion strategies for Russia and CIS countries.
• Appoint and manage distributors/ importers, and strategic business partners.
• Achieve annual sales and profitability targets.

2. Product Portfolio Selection

• Identify products suitable for Russia & CIS markets based on:
• Market demand, Registration feasibility, Competition, Customer requirements, Profitability.
• Recommend new product opportunities based on market intelligence.
• Work closely with Regulatory, R&D, and Marketing teams to build market-specific product portfolios.

3. Regulatory & Product Registration

• Strong understanding of product registration requirements in Russia and CIS countries.
• Coordinate registration dossiers and approvals with regulatory partners.
• Ensure compliance with country-specific regulatory guidelines.

4. Export Sales & Commercial Management

• Develop distributor networks.
• Negotiate pricing, commercial agreements, and annual business plans.
• Monitor sales performance and payment collections.

5. Pricing & Costing

• Prepare export pricing considering: Manufacturing cost, Freight, Duties, Registration expenses, Distributor margins, Competitive pricing

6. Market Intelligence

• Monitor competitors, pricing, tenders, regulatory changes, and market trends.
• Prepare market development plans and quarterly business reviews.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in agriculture and MBA preferred.
• Minimum 6-7 years of International Business Development experience.
• Mandatory experience handling Russia & CIS markets.
• Strong understanding of product registration, distributor development, export documentation, pricing, and international negotiations.
